As OEMs and dealers look for ways to improve service cycle time, one area receiving renewed attention is dispatch – specifically, how repair orders are assigned to the right technician from the start. Matching the job to the technician’s skill set and training can have a significant impact on both repair quality and speed, helping reduce delays, rework, and inefficiencies in the shop. In this session, we will dig into how dealers and OEMs are thinking about dispatch as a lever for improving service performance. We hope to hear from OEMs and/or dealers on how technician capability, training, and job requirements are factored into assignment decisions, as well as whether any new tools, process, or approaches are emerging to support better matching and drive better cycle times.
