OEM field teams tend to have endless areas of responsibility – essentially, any new program or initiative is added to their list of things to do. Prioritizing their responsibilities can be difficult, when multiple teams within the OEM have similarly critical things they need support on. In this session, we’ll start with the basics to understand how field teams are structured within each OEM. How many people are on the team? What are their stated responsibilities and/or targets? Are they dedicated to parts and service? Then, we’ll focus on ways OEMs are working to streamline or reduce their workload. How are initiatives prioritized? Has anyone launched new tools to ease their work? How are these teams expected to evolve over time?
