Service Metric Collection & Use
Description

Collecting and benchmarking service metrics is relatively new for many Heavy Equipment OEMs. At the NASB 2024 Conference, we brought together HE OEMs to discuss how service performance is tracked in the automotive industry, use cases for various metrics, data sources, and strategy for how the HE industry can start to benchmark similar KPIs moving forward. For 2025, we propose building on that discussion, perhaps selecting a handful of metrics the group is most focused on – customer retention, uptime, fixed right first time – to dig into how each OEM measures these items (if they do), and how we can standardize collection as a group in future years.
